A 3-day photography exhibition on the rich biodiversity of Thane Creek is being organised by Paryavaran Dakshata Manch – an NGO in collaboration with Thane Municipal Corporation. The exhibition will start on March 18 at Kala Bhavan,Kapurbawdi and it will be open for public from 10am to 8pm.

The organisers will also screen two short films on Thane Creek during the exhibition. “We are trying our best to inform people about the Clean Creek Movement and the destruction that is taking place on the Wetlands. There will be around 300 photographs of birds, insects, butterflies, fish, amphibians, reptiles, mammals and mangroves also for the exhibition and other activities related to the creek. We mainly want to focus on school students and college students who will be made aware and will make others aware then,” said Avinash Bhagat, Programme coordinator, Paryavaran Dakshata Manch.

Thane Municipal Corporation’s Commissioner Sanjeev Jaiswal will inaugurate the exhibition on March 18 at Kala Bhavan.
